God of Sex

God made something glorious, pleasurable and creative when He made sex. But it's confusing too. Are the Bible's views on sex hopelessly outdated? Is there any way to talk about a Christian view of sex that makes sense to non-Christians? What are healthy boundaries outside of marriage? And why are so many dudes afraid of commitment? Harbor City Church Pastor Steven Cooper exposes God's glorious purposes in sex.

The Gospel: A Sanctifying Power Rooted in a Justifying Reality

The Gospel (literally, “Euangelion”) of Jesus the Christ is “the power of God unto salvation, first for the Jew, then for the Gentile." (Romans 1:16) The scope and efficacy of the Biblical Gospel has profound implications for the whole of the created order and for our individual lives. The Gospel is good news! News that God will renew the entire cosmos. News that is announced in the middle of history as we experience it. News marked by certainty that God will bring about a new heaven and a new earth. All made new! The Gospel is also the message of salvation. A salvation from sin’s penalty and power. A justifying and sanctifying salvation that empowers God’s people to live under the reign of the resurrected, exalted Jesus. It is this empowering, sanctifying component of the Gospel that we will to consider together.
